         We are women who have arrived in Canada, or whose ancestors emigrated to Canada from the Arab world. Some of us are first generation Canadians, others were born here; some speak Arabic fluently, others can hardly understand it. But we all identify ourselves as of Arab origin or became Arabs by marriage. We have many things in common, but we also have our differences. ACWA is the perfect forum for learning a little more from each other and about each other, and for discussing  ideas and sharing difficult and happy times.
